Polish paracanoeist Kamila Kubas officially announced the end of her sporting career in paracanoeing. The 40-year-old parakayaker, born in Malomice, was among the most recognisable athletes of paracanoeing family.

Czech Canoe Union awarded the best athletes of the year 2023. With many medals from World and European Championships in different disciplines it was not an easy task to decide who will get the main award and be named paddler of the year. At the end, Martin Fuksa, the 2023 World and European Champion took the win ahead of canoe slalom paddlers Jiri Prskavec and Vit Prindiš.
