Twenty medals for European paracanoeists at World Championships in Szeged

The 2019 Paracanoe World Championships was organised in Szeged, Hungary, and European paddlers showed some great performances, winning seven World Champion titles. The new paracanoe world champions coming from Europe are Charlotte Henshaw with titles both in VL and KL categories, Mykola Fedorenko, Emma Wiggs, Peter Pal Kiss, Maryna Mazhula and Serhii Yemelianov.

It was an intense week of racing in Poznan for Europe's best paracanoeists. After the ECA Paracanoe European Championships was over there was no rest for competitiors as the first World Cup race of the season kicked off on Thursday. Athletes who were among the best at European Championships excelled at World Cup race too.

Another European Champion title for Serhii Yemelianov

The best European paracanoeists are gathered on the Malta Lake in Poznan, Poland, for the 2019 ECA Paracanoe European Championships which is taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday. During the first competition day we saw six finals. Ukrainian parakayaker Serhii Yemelianov defended his title from last year’s European Championships in Belgrade in men’s KL3 200 metres event.
