Organisers of the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Prague are working tirelessly to prepare the best possible championships in the current situation and to provide safe environment for all participants of this biggest canoe slalom sporting event of the year. Prague is set to host the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships between 18th and 20th September. On Friday we will follow heats in all events (women’s kayak and canoe, men’s kayak and canoe). On Saturday semi-finals, finals and team races in women’s canoe and men’s kayak are on the programme, while on Sunday the Championships will conclude with women’s kayak and men’s canoe semi-final, final and team races.

Due to health situation Germany and Russia this week decided not to come to the championships in addition to Great Britain and Slovakia who decided not to participate at any international races this year earlier, however there are still athletes from 20 European countries on the participants list. Around 120 athletes will start on the Vltava River. The participating nations are: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Estonia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden and Ukraine.

In order to follow the special safety regulations the venue will be closed for general public which is one of the best and always loudly supports all the athletes in Prague.
