Ocean Racing
Ocean racing is an exciting new discipline of the ECA intended to encompass the long distance surfski events, sea kayak racing events, sea touring and long distance out rigger events.
For many years Ocean Racing (Surfski) is a growing discipline in our sport.
There have been a lot of different events in Europe.
The ECA Board of Directors agreed in hosting the EUROCUP for Surfski.
The next steps:
This weekend, a strong international competition - the ICF Canoe Slalom World Ranking race - took place in Markkleeberg, Germany. The event also counted towards the 2025 ECA Open Canoe Slalom European Cup series. Victories were claimed by athletes from Germany, Czechia, and Poland.

ECA’s representatives visited Romania this weekend in a technical visit before the 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships which is set to take place from 3rd to 6th July in Bascov-Budeasa. The delegation inspected the venue and held meetings to finalise the organisational details.

The 7th race in the 2025 ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup series will be held in Nottingham, Great Britain, on 14th and 15th June.
