Beata Mikołajczyk-Rosolska ended her sporting career 17.12.2020

One of the best Polish Canoe Sprint paddlers Beata Mikołajczyk-Rosolska has decided to end her successful sporting career due to family reasons.

Beata Mikołajczyk-Rosolska - 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic medallist - has announced on her Facebook page she is ending her successful career.

"Dear friends, the time has come to end my sports career. I had dreams of fighting for Tokyo. Plan is a plan, and life often writes its script anyway. For me, everything changed when I heard the words from the doctor saying that I would not be a mother in a year. And my dream, apart from Tokyo, was to become a mother for the second time. But family is more important to me. And it is for this reason that I decide to end my career. I have written a beautiful story, I am proud of myself," her statement said.

As previously mentioned Beata won three Olympic medals (2008 - Silver K2 500m; 2012 - Bronze K2 500m, 2016 - Bronze K2 500m). In addition she has five gold, nine silver and four bronze medals from European Championships, bronze medal from European Games, and one gold, two silver and three bronze medals from World Championships.
