Member of Zorka Kayak Club had a very good season finding his place in the senior national team for the Duisburg World Championships after winning the internal selection races with more experienced paddlers. His performances among the World elite at World Championships brought him the B finals in Olympic 1000 metres event as well as in the 500 metres event, where he was the youngest finalist.

 

He represented the colours of Serbia also at Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European and World Championships in 2023. At the World Championships in Auronzo di Cadore he finished fourth in men’s K1 1000 metres event, missing out the medal just 0.17 seconds, and he repeated the same result at European Championships inb Montemor-o-Velho later in the month.

 

Lagundzic, who is also a successful student in Belgrade, won several medals at Serbian championships. He celebrated gold medals in K1 500 and 1000 metres finals, K2 1000 metres event and K4 1000 metres event, and added bronze medals in K4 200 and K4 500 metres event as well as in K2 500 metres final.
