British canoeist Chloe Bracewell put on hold her Olympic dreams and returned to NHS as a call taker on the 111 service, assisting patients over the phone. Two years ago she focused entirely on sporting career, but not with the Coronavirus pandemic, Chloe, who is a Nottingham University graduate, decided to return to NHS.
“I love my sport but what it most important right now is keeping people safe and well. It was important for me to join the call to arms and return to the NHS. We’ve been really focussed on training and getting into the best shape possible ahead of our trials but clearly COVID-19 is bigger than anything else right now and I’m glad I can do my bit to help,” she said.
