BULLETIN – 2022 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships

BULLETIN – 2022 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships 3.3.2022

The 2022 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships will be held in Liptovsky Mikulaš, Slovakia, between 26th and 29th May 2022.

The venue in Liptovsky Mikulaš, Slovakia, is one of the traditional canoe slalom venues with a very rich history. Many Slovak canoe slalom legends consider this their home course, among them Olympic medallists Michal Martikan, Elena Kaliska and Jakub Grigar, but we must also mention Alexander Slafkovsky, holder of eight individual European Championships medals. The Ondrej Cibak Wildwater Stadium hosted Senior and Junior/U23 European Championships as well as World Cup races.

This year’s European Championships will kick off on Thursday, 26th May, with heats in men’s and women’s K1 and team events for both. Heats and team events in men’s and women’s C1 will follow a day later. On Saturday, we will follow the MK1 and WK1 Semifinal and final runs, and also extreme slalom time trials, while on Sunday the championships will conclude with MC1 and WC semifinal and final and final phase of extreme slalom.

The numerical entries deadline is 24th April and nominal entries deadline 16th May.
