The competitions will be held in the Atlantic Ocean, in Terceira, the second most populated island in the Azores. Opening ceremony of the 2024 ECA Ocean Racing European Championships is scheduled for Thursday, 11th April. The competition will be organised in a window of three days (12-14 April), depending on the best conditions for the race. In case the conditions will be similar through the time frame, the race is provisioned for Saturday, 13th April in the afternoon. The race will be held on a downwind 25 kilometres long course between Praia da Vitoria and Angra do Heroismo, a city which was classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1983.
The races will be held in European Championships and non-European Championships events.
