BULLETIN – The 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships

We are less than six months away from the 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships which will be held in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, from 2nd to 8th June 2025. The Championships, organised in northern Portugal, will not be only dedicated to senior, U23, and junior paddlers, but will also include master competitions and paracanoe demonstration races.


The city of Ponte de Lima and the local club, one the largest clubs in the country, have a long tradition of organising canoeing competitions at the highest level. Home to many European and World Champions in canoeing, it successfully hosted the 2017 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships, and in 2022, it organised the World Championships in this canoeing discipline.
 
 
The Championships will kick off with Masters events on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, we will see the paracanoe demonstration races and the Opening Ceremony, and from Thursday to Sunday the Senior, U23 and Junior European Champion titles will be contested.
