Carre and Boulanger winners of the 2022 edition of the Marathon international des Gorges de l'Ardèche 12.11.2022

French duo Carre – Boulanger was the winner of the 38 edition of the world famous Marathon international des Gorges de l'Ardèche which attracts over 1000 participants from numerous countries.


Cyrille Carre and Stephane Boulanger - renowned French kayakers - were the best in Saturday’s Marathon international des Gorges de l'Ardèche. It took them one hour, 36 minutes and 31 seconds to complete the 34 kilometres long course, which was a minute and a half less than their closest rivals Adrian Martin Torres and David Rodriguez Dorado from Spain. Nicolas Lambert and Tony Duval (FRA) were third in the overall standings.
 
Carre and Boulanger were thebest in the K2V event, where Pradalier – Boukpeti finished second and Gieres – Kittner from Germany third. Torres – Rodriguez Dorado from Spain, Lambert – Duval and Barouh – Lucas (all FRA) were top three in the K2 event.
 
In women’s K2 event French – Serbian duo Pauline Freslon – Krisztina Bedocs produced the fastest time, finishing ahead of Muller – Widmer (SUI) and Borekx – Plas (BEL). K2V event was won by - Roupioz  Roupioz,Louvet – Toureault were second and Mayaud – Brunet third.
 
In the mixed K2 event Germans Andreas Heilinger nd Marlene Wesseling produced the fastest time, wining ahead of Yseline Huet and Geniesse Baudoin and Davy Theys – Amber Vanbroekhoven.
 
Mathis Perreau – Louis Passernig, Antoine Massonnet – Jean Chevallier and Edoardo Auriemma – Paolo Seccaman were the best in the C2 event. Helena Hrabcova – Simon Jelinek, Alexandre Mauger – Clemence Douche and Mathieu Letissier – Juliette Lemberg were winners of mixed C2 event.
 
Italian Nicolo Razeto was the fastest in men’s senior K1 event, finishing ahead of Slovenian Anže Urankar and German kayaker Dominic Drieschner. In men’s C1 it was a triple win for France with Charles Ferrion, Etienne Klatt and Pierre Troubady. Lise Vinet (FRA) was the winner of women’s K1 event, Hermien Peters (BEL) was second and Ana Šteblaj (SLO) third.
 
Tjaš Til Kupsch (SLO) was the fastest in men’s junior K1 event, where two kayakers from Belgium – Tristan Meersmans and Lean Bogaerts - won second and third place respectively. Maya Bagnato (ITA), Anna Michaela Zednickova (CZE) and Marta Cecconi (ITA) were the best in women’s K1 junior event. Matous Beier, Ondrej Kvapil and Tobias Trnka (all CZE) were the best in junior C1 event. Van Nieuwenhove – Mertens and Brun – Chappattle were the best in junior K2 event, and Pradalier – Roubinet, Robert – Perot, Blocquaux – Bardine in junior mixed K2.
 
Stephane Santamaria, another excellent French wildwater paddler, was the winner of men’s C1V event, winning ahead of Petr Vesely (CZE) and Jan Pischek. RomainMarcaud, Pedro Gutierrez Alvarez and Oscar Hernandez Florenti were the best in men’s K1V event and Bernardette Doenni Schwalder, Claudia Pabst and Andrea Claton in women’s K1V.
 
Michael Georg Keller and Francois Ravier were the best among the C2V category, Jean-Bastien Camps and Jean Yves Reinneis were second and Philippe Wilmart – Jean Marc Fontaine third. In the mixed C2V event the top three crews were: Eric Polman –Brigitte Van Straaten, Laure Provot – Emmanuel Provot and Laura Cassani - Marc Marabese.
