Charlotte Henshaw MBE re-elected to BPA Athletes’ Commission 21.12.2022

British paracanoeist Charlotte Henshaw MBE has been re-elected to British Paralympic Association Athletes’ Commission for a second time.

Charlotte is one of five athletes who have been voted on to the BPA Athletes’ Commission following November’s election.

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Champion is one of two athletes re-elected for a second term alongside cycling’s two-time Paralympic champion Lora Fachie. The Athletes’ Commission elections take place every two years, with athletes able to serve a maximum of two four-year terms.

The Athletes’ Commission - established in 2013 – is made up of 12 current or retired Paralympians, chaired by Beijing 2008 rowing gold medallist Helene Raynsford. The Commission acts as an advisory group to the BPA, representing the views of athletes across a wide range of issues, from classification to campaigns and kit.
