Czech Republic turns into Wildwater Canoeing capital this August

Europe’s and World's best Wildwater Canoeing paddlers are currently in Augsburg, Germany, where the last two World Cup events of the season are about to begin this weekend. The 2017 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships has already been organised in May in Skopje (MKD) and the Wildwater Canoeing Sprint World Championships is only to begin in the end of September in Pau, France. To keep the athletes busy also in the summer months two ECA Wildwater European Cups will be organised in Czech Republic on 20th and 24th August 2017.

The first ECA Wildwater Canoeing Sprint European Cup in Czech Republic will be organised in Česke Budejovice on 20th August 2017 and the second will follow on 24th August 2017 in Roudnice nad Labem. Organisers of these events in Czech Republic, which is a real superpower in this sport, organise four more races to attract top level Wildwater paddlers from abroad.

The race tour in Czech Republic will therefore actually start on 19th August 2017 with international Wildwater Canoeing sprint race in Česke Budejovice, and then only a day after the ECA European Cup in Wildwater sprint will follow on the same venue. On 23rd August paddlers will race in Roudnice nad Labem in a sprint event as well as a day later – this race will count as ECA European Cup. On 26th and 27th August the series will end in Lipno nad Vltavou. On Saturday, 26th August, the classic Wildwater Canoeing Race will be organised, and on Sunday, 27th August, another sprint event will close the project “9 days = 6 races”.
