Just two days after the end of the ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships, the next big competition for young paddlers is here. Dallenwil, Switzerland, will host the 2024 ECA Junior and U23 Wildwater Canoeing European Championships between Tuesday and Saturday.
Young wildwater canoeing athletes from 20 European countries will compete for the European Champion titles in classic and sprint individual and team races over four competition days.
There will be some young athletes debuting at major international championships, but there will also be some already big names of wildwater canoeing with experiences from senior level European and World Championships at the start line of the European Championships. Tuesday is reserved for the opening ceremony of the European Championships, and the first competition day is Wednesday, when individual classic race is on the programme of the championships. Thursday will bring team classic races, on Friday we will follow the sprint heats, and on Saturday the championships will conclude with individual wildwater sprint canoeing finals and team events in wildwater sprint canoeing.
Participating nations: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czechia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine and Switzerland.
