Tokyo Olympic silver medallist Klaudia Zwolinska (POL) was unbeatable in both disciplines she competed in. In the women’s kayak event, she secured a convincing win, finishing five seconds ahead of her closest rivals. Her compatriot Dominika Brzeska claimed second place, while Ukraine’s Viktoriia Us finished third, trailing by just under six and a half seconds.
Zwolinska also stood on the top step of the podium in the women’s canoe event. All three medallists in this discipline received four penalty seconds, but Zwolinska still crossed the finish line with a 1.10-second lead over fellow Pole Aleksandra Gora. Once again, Viktoriia Us of Ukraine secured third place.
In the men’s kayak event, Polish paddler Michal Pasiut dominated, delivering the best runs in both the heats and in the final. His faster run came in the heats, but even in the final, he maintained a one-and-a-half-second advantage over fellow Poles Dariusz Popiela and Mateusz Polaczyk.
In the men’s canoe event, Szymon Nowobilski took the win thanks to a clean run without penalties. Both Kacper Sztuba and Michal Wiercioch had one gate touch each, which cost them the victory. Sztuba finished 1.16 seconds behind the winner, and Wiercioch was 1.94 seconds back.
The next race that will count toward the ECA Open Canoe Slalom European Cup points will be the I Feel Slovenia Canoe Slalom Cup Tacen 2025, scheduled for April 26.
