ECA celebrates 25th anniversary next year and thinks about the future

The European Canoe Association (ECA) has been founded on December 11, 1993 in Rome and will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. With this in mind the leading canoeing institution in Europe wishes to bring activities to a higher level. To help achieve this ECA reached an agreement with Spanish Enrique Prendes to take over the marketing activities for the next Olympic cycle.

An ambitious project to promote European Canoeing and to improve the future of canoeing in Europe will be tightly connected to a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the European Canoe Association.

The responsible person for the marketing activities within the ECA will be Spanish Enrique Prendes (Vigo-Galicia, 19/11/1969) who will take over the position for the next Olympic cycle and set the framework for the future of European Canoeing.

Prendes was the coordinator of the project “Los 16 de Brasil 2016” for the Royal Spanish Canoe Federation in the last Olympic cycle, which ended with a great success for Spanish canoeing.

The new ECA marketing manager has been closely involved in canoeing on a professional level since 2002 when he became the press officer of the Galician Canoe Federation. In January 2005 he took over the position of communication manager of the RFEP and held this position for 12 years, until February 2017. The Galician will now give voice to a newly established ECA marketing office with an objective to build a firm future of the ECA.
