ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cups in France postponed until 2018

ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cups in France postponed until 2018 28.1.2017
The organisers of the first races in the 2017 ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cup series were forced to cancel the 2017 events in France due to the lack of water. Hardly any rain fell in Brittany since September which means the courses which were supposed to host around 180 young canoe slalom athletes do not offer good conditions for the organisation of the first ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cup events this year.

The events series, which is in France known as Eurolympiques, was supposed to attract many young paddlers in February to four events, organised in Lannion (11-12 February), Lochrist (14-15 February) and Les Roches du Diable (18-19 February).

"It's postponed to next year, but we do not know the precise dates yet", said Xavier Mignon, the president of the CK Lannion.
The 2017 ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cup series will now start with the planned races number 5 and 6 between 17 and 18 June 2017 in Solkan, Slovenia.
