The European Canoe Association and Memosoft will continue their successful partnership which has consistently elevated canoeing events. The successful cooperation will continue in the following three-year period, and several new services have been added to the list of deliverables starting in 2025. Some of these services were tested in 2024, while others are entirely new. Both Memosoft and the ECA are committed to continually enhancing the services and overall organisation of the Canoe Sprint European Championships. This includes the integration of more advanced technology, additional tools for International Technical Officials (ITOs), and improvements in sport presentation.
The renewed contract now includes the provision of the TV graphics with refreshed ECA layouts, new features such as European best times, a new CIS service, and a comprehensive database for commentators. Additionally, a new drone service will be implemented for ITOs’ video analysis and for use by the host broadcaster.
Marcos Oliveira, one of the creative minds behind Memosoft and a passionate advocate for canoeing, believes this partnership could eventually extend to other disciplines. This has already begun in canoe marathon, where additional services like GPS tracking and other sport presentation solutions are being developed and utilised.
In the 2025 season, Memosoft will be managing the Canoe Marathon European Championships in Ponte de Lima (POR) and both Canoe Sprint European Championships, in Racice (CZE) and Pitesti (ROU).
