The 2019 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships lead competitors to Shaoxing, China. European paddlers were the strongest in Asia with many familiar faces from European Championships picking up medals in short and marathon races.
Hungary was once again the strongest among all participating nations, winning a total of 21 medals (9 gold, 7 silver, 5 bronze), Spain concluded World Championships with a total of ten medals, Denmark won six medals and France four medals. The following European countries also found their place in medal table: Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Great Britain and Russia.
