From Olympic Champion to bestselling author and MasterChef 25.10.2018

Saul Craviotto is one of the most known Spanish kayakers. 33-year-old paddler is a a two times Olympic champion, he also has a silver and bronze Olympic medal in addition to nine World Championships medals and medals he won at European Championships. But he reached fame also outside the sporting circles as he became a winner of Spanish MasterChef celebrity reality show. 

 


 
Thousands of Spanish TV viewers were cheering for canoe sprinter while he competed in the TVE's show MasterChef celebrity and eventually a paddler born in Lleida, Catalonia, won the programme. 
 
 
"It has taken away my fear of the stove and now I dare to do anything. Before I could not make a fried egg," admitted Saul in one of the interviews after the win in the MasterChef show, and added, "I've been training for 17 years and now they know me as 'MasterChef', but the truth is that I'm happy, I do not regret my time in the programme. It is something beautiful."
 
 
At approximately the same time his book with a title 4 anos para 32 segundos (4 years for 32 seconds) saw the light of the day and soon became a bestseller. The book became so popular the publishing house now offers the fifth edition of the book. In this book he discusses physical and psychological aspects of training and importance of family life. 
 
 
 
 
 
Recently Saul Craviotto travelled to Mozambique as ambassador of Manos Unidas. In a week he spent in this African country he participated in various activities and educational projects for 1200 boys and girls. "It is an honor that Manos Unidas have thought of me as ambassador because it is an organization that thinks about people and their rights, that fights against hunger in the world and for the well-being of the human beings. Manos Unidas has been fighting for all this for 60 years and I am honored to be a part of it", he said on this occasion.
 
 
 
 
Saul Craviotto and another Spanish Olympic champion Maialen Chourraut (canoe slalom) will be special guests of International Congress of Canoeing Coaches in Catoira. They will share their experiences on Sunday, 28th October 2018, between 12:30 and 14:00.
