German-French win at the 2024 Krumlov canoe marathon 13.10.2024

The 22nd edition of the Krumlov Canoe Marathon took place this weekend in Czechia. German-French duo Nico Paufler – Cyrille Carre won the competition and concluded the 36 kilometres long course more than one minute faster than the closest rivals.


Well-known kayakers Nico Paufler from Germany and Cyrille Carree from France joined forces and set the best time of the 22nd Krumlov Marathon held this weekend in Czechia. On a 36 long course from Vyssi Brod to Cesky Krumlov they concluded their race in 2:02:55.20. This was 1:12.99 faster than Jakub Zavrel and Petr Mojzisek from Czechia who were second, while Andreas Heilinger and Elias Geike from Germany finished in third place.
 
Kerry Christie and Sam Cribbett from Great Britain were the fastest duo of the mixed K2 event (2:14:25.00), canoe sprint power couple Anezka Paloudova and Josef Dostal (CZE) were second, while Marie Nemcova and Samuel Vejnar took third place (CZE).
 
Verena Konrath – Emily Schenk from Austria were the best in women’s K2 event (2:28:07.00), crossing the finish line ahead of Veronika Rzymanova – Katerina Cervena and Marta Mulačova – Anna Kasparova. In C2 event Vojtech Mares – Martin Dumek (CZE) took the win ahead of Italians Francesco Baldan – Diego Efrem Babato, and Frantisek Salaj – Alva Beier (CZE). Karolina Paloudova – Vaclav Svadlena were the fastest in mixed C2 event, where Kristina Novosadova – Petr Smakal took second place, and Simon Jelinek – Helena Kudova Hrebcova finished third.
 
The winner of men’s K1 event was French representative Nicolas Lambert (2:14:58.87). Jan Sindelar and Petr Grossmann (both Czechia) were second and third respectively.
 
Maya Bagnato (ITA) was the winner of women’s senior kayak event. It took her 2:31:48.01 to complete the course. Lisa Koestle from Germany was second, while Giulia Formenton (ITA) took third place.
 
Matous Beier (CZE) was the winner of C1 event with a time 1:38:40.19. Croatian paddler Tomislav Hohnjec was second and Jan Pischek (CZE) was third.
 
Jakub Sindel (CZE), Enno Roggenbrodt (GER) and Alessandro Monaro (ITA) were the fastest trio of men’s junior K1 event, while Hana Bedernjak (SLO), Sandra bergmannova (CZE) and Anna Eikelmann (GER) took the top positions in women’s junior K1 event. Ondrej Kvapil (CZE) was the fastest in men’s junior C1 event, his teammate Jachym Hanzel was second and Croatian Janko Presecki was third.
 
Alain De Winter from Belgium was the best in K1 masters event, followed by Istvan Salga (HUN) and Jan Burgdorf (GER). In sea kayak category Vojtech Prochazka, Tomas Slovak and Karel Slepica (all CZE) won the top three places. C2 masters event was won by Canadians Sebastian Courville – Mike De Abreu, second and third place went to Miroslav Herzan – Martin Hrivna and Otakar Venta – Stanislav Hamak respectively. Tomas and Milan Znamenacek were the best in C2 touring event, followed by Krisztian Pobori – Tamas Kakas and Milan Chyba – Frantisek Rucka. In C3/C4 event, Antonin Hales, Tomas vanacek, Vladimir Slanina and Martin Novak (CZE) won ahead of Lithuanians Tomas Kojis, Darius Sukevicius and Evaldas Bilevicius. Jan Had Tousek, Tomas Ziky Zika and Antonin Tona Kuchar (CZE) were third.
