Gianluca Zannoni is the new ECA Canoe Polo Technical Delegate 21.3.2018

ECA's Board of Directors appointed a new technical delegate for Canoe Polo during their meeting in Madrid earlier this month. The task of shaping the future of canoe polo in European continent has been given to Italian Gianluca Zannoni, who was born in 1970 in Rome. Gianluca Zannoni has been involved with this sport for over 20 years and has gained rich experience. He has been international referee since 2004.


“I am truly honoured that ECA has decided to assign this task to me. Italian Canoe Polo movement is a synonym for excellence, recognised worldwide. I hope that professional experience I gathered in over twenty years in the canoeing world will prove to be useful in this role in an effective way,” said the new Canoe Polo Technical Delegate.
 
President of the Italian Canoe Federation Luciano Buonfiglio also expressed satisfaction with the new role that was given to Italian canoe polo expert, “Once again it is a matter of pride to have a member of the federal family within the governing body of the European canoeing. I am satisfied with the work he had done in these years and how we have become a point of excellence recognised at a continental level and beyond.”
