Wiktor Glazunow, holder of medals in C2 and C4 events of World and European Championships, has had an amazing winning streak at the Polish Canoe Sprint national championships. First he took the win in men’s C1 1000 metres final ahead of Mateusz Kaminski and Vincent Slominski, continued with celebration in 500 meters event, where Marcin Grzybowski and Vincent Slominski took silver and bronze medal, and in the 200 metres event where Michal Lubniewski and Oleksii Koliadych finished behind him. His fourth gold medal awaited him in the 5000 metres race, with Mateusz Kaminski finishing second and Marcin Grzybowski third. In addition he picked up bronze medal in C2 1000 metres final in the boat with Brynski.

 

“I have never won all the C1 events, and since I have been training I do not remember that anyone did it. It's nice to write in history,” said Glazunow.

 

In women’s individual events Dorota Borowska won Polish national champion titles in women’s C1 200 and 500 metres events. Sylwia Szczerbinska was second and Magda Stanny third in 500 meters race. Stanny finished third also in the 200 meters final, where Katarzyna Szperkiewicz won silver medal in this event. In the 5000 metres race Aleksandra Jacewicz crossed the finish line ahead of Paulina Grzelkiewicz and Adrianna Antos.

 

Pawel Kaczmarek was the fastest in men’s K1 200 metres final, where Bartosz Grabowski finished second and Jakub Stepun third. In 500 metres final Przemyslaw Korsak won ahead of Bartosz Stabno and Ksawery Hajdamowicz. Stabno was the winner in the 1000 meters final, Korsak was second and Rafal Rosolski third. Rosolski was the strongest in the 5000 metres event, Stabno was second and Wiktor Wieneszewski third.

 

Katarzyna Kolodziejczyk was the fastest in the final of women’s 200 metres race. Marta Walczykiewicz was second and Anna Pulawska third. Pulawska won gold medal in the 500 metres event, where Justyna Iskrzycka was second and Beata Rosolska third. Iskrzycka was unbeatable in the 1000 metres final. Anna Zagorska was second and Adrianna Kakol third. In the 5000 metres race Beata Rosolska beat Marta Walczykiewicz and Ana Zagorska to claim Polish title.
