International participation at Wildwater canoeing Czech Cup in Česke Vrbne 8.8.2020

The third Czech Wildwater Sprint Canoeing Cup in Česke Vrbne attracted international paddlers who travelled to Czech Republic also to take part in the ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup race, which is scheduled for tomorrow.


Majority of the medals was won by Czech paddlers, especially successful was Martina Satkova, who won in kayak and canoe final. In kayak she stopped the clock at 50.58, while second placed Anežka Paloudova finished the course a second behind her. German paddler Christina Massini was third. Satkova continued with good performances in canoe, where Anežka Paloudova again finished second. Marie Nemcova was third.
 
Wins in men’s canoe and kayak finals went to Slovenia thanks to World Champions Blaž Cof and Nejc Žnidarčič. Cof won in men’s canoe final ahead of local favourite Ondrej Rolenc and French canoeist Etienne Klat, while Nejc Žnidarčič set the fastest time in men’s kayak event. Luca Barone from France was second and Vojtech Zapletal (CZE) third.
 
In men’s C2 event Ondrej Rolenc and Daniel Suchanek won ahead of two crews that set exactly the same time, thus shared second place: Martin Novak – Antonin Haleš and Petr Vesely – Marek Rygel.
