As you know, from 11 - 21 August 2022, Munich will host the European Championships Munich 2022, uniting nine European Championships ‘under one roof’. Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe being a part of this multi sport event with our athletes competing for the title of European Champion. But there is one more opportunity Munich 2022 will give to its Sport Federations!
The multi-sport event will feature the bi-annual European Athletics Young Leaders Forum. And for the first time ever it will be open to other sport federations and sportspersons.
Considering the framework of the multi-sport European Championships, the European Athletics Young Leaders Forum will open its doors in order to encourage youth inclusion and the development of youth activities in Europe.
The Young Leaders Forum provides a unique experience for up-and-coming sports officials, highly motivated young adults from 20 to 30 years old, who are involved in sports and looking to evolve it further.
The Forum will take place from the 19th until the 22nd of August 2022 in Munich, Germany, with the Local Organising Committee of the European Championships Munich 2022 as the host of this event.
European Canoe Association (ECA) would like therefore to conduct an internal selection of the potential participants of the forum.
Please find attached the detailed information and a Bulletin as an information booklet about the forum itself for the participants - what is it about, where is it held, where will I sleep, etc?
All National Federations are kindly asked to make the application of their potential participants via online form
https://forms.gle/bLr8BusevZoDEUfN7 no later than March 1st, 2022.
Please bear in mind a maximum of 6 participants, 3 of each gender including one from Germany each.
ECA will then choose the potential participants at the Board meeting to be held on March 5th 2022 and make nominations to Munich LOC before March 15, 2022. Munich LOC will afterwards together with European Athletics supervising the procedure, go through all submissions and approve the participants.
