Thanks to the organisational efforts of the Canoe Club Napoli, the Villa Comunale in Bacoli will transform into a sports village from 13^th to 15^th September, welcoming the 2024 ECA Canoe Polo Clubs European Championships.

 

Teams from France, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, Sweden, and of course Italy, will fill the streets of the Campi Flegrei and Lake Miseno with the colours of their clubs. This will be a significant presence for the area, which is preparing not only to host the athletes of this thrilling championships and their teams, but also to offer them a well-rounded experience in the Campi Flegrei, from hospitality, food and wine and entertainment.

 

A record number of registrations has been reached with 25 men's teams and 16 women's teams, totalling 400 athletes, who will gather on Friday at 18:30 in Piazza Marconi to kick off the Opening Ceremony with a parade towards the Stage Area in Villa Comunale. The event and team presentations will follow, with the presence of Bacoli Mayor Giosi della Ragione, Sports Councillor Mario Cucco, ECA Technical Delegate Gianluca Zannoni, Technical Organiser Alessandro Carannante, Competition Organiser Francesco Di Palma Esposito, Head of Referees Virginie Brackez, Chief Scrutineer Maurizio Pelli, Municipal Councillor and Chief Table Official Alessandro Maria Scamardella. The ceremony will conclude with a musical performance by DJ Bonky.

 

During the weekend there will be four pitches on Miseno Lake, and in this incredible setting, 135 matches, each lasting 20 minutes, will take place at a rapid pace from 7:30 on Saturday to 18:00 on Sunday. After the final match at 17:30 on Sunday, which will crown the strongest club in Europe, there will be an Awards Ceremony. There will also be entertainment on Saturday, featuring DJ Bonky and the Auua Beat Band performing on stage

and energizing the crowd with their engaging music starting at 21:00.
