There was no surprise who took the main award of the evening. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist Jiri Prskavec was named the best Czech Whitewater paddler of the year again. He finished the final standings ahead of another Tokyo medallist Lukaš Rohan and World Champion Vaclav Chaloupka. Vit Prindiš and Ondrej Rolenc were fourth and fifth respectively.

 

“The evening was traditionally very nice, very funny; I would almost say that they made it too funny for my taste. I forgot how heavy the winner’s cup is, I almost didn't lift it over my head. Otherwise, the award is very nice, it's a nice end to the season. At the moment we are in the season, so it's nice to look back at last year and say that it was a lively and that it was beautiful. We are in full training,” said Prskavec.  

 

In the junior slalom category Martin Rudorfer received the highest amount of points (241), Klara Kneblova was second in the final standings and Tereza Kneblova third. Adam Kral and Martin Kratochvil concluded the top five.

 

In the whitewater canoeing it was Ondrej Rolenc who took the award for the best paddler of the year, ahead of Tereza Kneblova, Barbora Dimovova, Matej Vanek and Daniel Suchanek. In junior part of the wildwater canoeing standings Tereza Kneblova took the award for the best athlete of the year. Matyaš Novak, František Salaj, Matej Vanek and Karel Rašner were among the top five.

 

Jiri Pultera, long time team leader of the Czech canoe slalom team, was introduced to the hall of fame.
