Anna Blackwell and Kate Culverwell are only hours away from their scheduled departure to an interesting kayaking journey with a great cause. 19- and 24-year-old paddlers from Oxford will kayak from England to the Black Sea and raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action - a cause close to the heart of Kate Culverwell, whose father David died as a result of the disease in 2015 - with their intended journey.
This 4000 kilometres long trip will take them through 13 countries. Besides their aim to raise £50,000 for the charity, they will support Earthwatch’s Freshwater Watch by collecting data and water samples.
