More than 80 competitors from four countries took part in the sixth edition of the Lanzada Ocean Race. The win stayed at home, thanks to Kiko Vega who was the fastest in the SS1 elite event.
Asturian kayaker Kiko Vega was the winner of the sixth edition of the Lanzada Ocean Race. The course was 17 kilometres long and took competitors from La Lanzada to the club in Portonovo in the province of Pontevedra. It took one hour, eight minutes and two seconds for the winner to reach the finish line. Luis Amado Perez finished the race in second place and multiple medallist from European and World Canoe Marathon Championships Ivan Alonso was third. Elena Torrerio won in women’s SS1 event, while Czech-Spanish crew Matous Pavlik – Breogan Monteagudo won in the SS2 event, ahead of Mikelats Ardanaz – Eneko Lopez Morais and Jaime Sobrado – Aitor Berciano.
