Kimberley Woods opened up about mental health issues

British Canoe Slalomer Kimberely Woods has been among the world's best paddlers in women's canoe and kayak for the past few years. Among other she celebrated individual European Champion titles in C1 in 2015 and 2017. But behind the success there was struggle.

"This has been an incredible step in my story. Dealing with mental health issues has been a big part of not just mine but many peoples lives and I hope that by telling people my story from my lowest to my best, that someone will be inspired to open up and just talk about what’s going on. Good or Bad. If you are ever in need of reaching out, you can talk to someone you fully trust (because they love and care about you no matter what), there are many other helpful links for someone to reach out to if you need or want help. Be kind to not only others but be kind to yourself," Kimberley said.
