Mads Pedersen candidate for the World Games athlete of the year

Denmark’s Mads Brandt Pedersen in among the candidates for The World Games Athlete of the Year 2024.


The 28-year-old Mads Brandt Pedersen of Denmark is among 22 athletes in the running for the World Games Athlete of the Year following his outstanding season 2024. He was once again crowned Canoe Marathon World and European Champion; he excelled in marathon’s short race, as well as at Canoe Sprint World and European Championships over 5000 metres. Here, he claimed gold at World Championships in Samarkand, and bronze at European Championships in Szeged.
 
The voting for the best World Games Athlete of the year is open at the website www.theworldgames.org. The voting is possible from 12pm GMT on January 9 until January 22, and you can cast your votes every 24 hours. Every time you vote, you must choose two candidates – two votes go to your first choice and one to your second choice.  The top 10 athletes from the first round will then proceed to the second round, which will take place From 12pm GMT on January 22 until 12pm GMT on January 31.
