This year’s European Champion in women’s canoe Mallory Franklin opened the World Cup series with a double win in front of British fans in London – Lee Valley. She was unbeatable both in kayak and canoe final. Adam Burgess, Ryan Westley, Kimberley Woods and Joe Clarke also won medals at their home course. German, Czech and Australian paddlers also celebrated medals on the opening weekend of the World Cup season.
After London canoe slalom paddlers will compete at World Cup races in Bratislava, Ljubljana, Markkleeberg and Prague.
