Belgium hosted the fourth edition of the Belgian Coast Race, an exciting ocean racing sporting event which attracted athletes from different countries.
The Belgian Coast Race was a 14 kilometres long challenge from Oostende to Wenduine. The race proved to be very technical with big side waves. In women’s event the win stayed at home in the hands of Belgium’s representative Nina Callebaut, who was better of Katrin Muller of Germany and another Belgium’s paddler Falke Dupez. The winner of men’s event was Samuel Newlands of New Zealand, second place was won by Sammy Feys of Belgium and representative of Great Britain Matthew Rowlands finished the race in third position.
