One month after Canoe Marathon European Championships Neretva hosts different boats

One month ago Neretva River was the venue of the 2018 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Metković, today the river hosted different kind of boats.


The Neretva Boat Marathon is one of the biggest amateur sporting events in Croatia with over 600 paddlers taking part in the event. The marathon attracts tens of thousands of people who are supporting athletes from the rivers banks, tourist and private boats and special train that follows the regatta. The first Neretva Boat Marathon was organised in 1998. The start is in Metković and finish in Ploče. The course is 22.500 metres long. Looks interesting, right?
