Mayor of Cologne, Germany, Henriette Reker awarded the best athletes and teams of the city for their outstanding performances in the year 2019. Among the recipients of "Great Sports Badge of the City of Cologne" were also paddlers.

For the success at Canoe Polo European Championships in Coimbra Jonas Vieren and Dennis Witt received golden sports plaque.

Among the recipients of the large sports plaque were the following individual athletes: Leonie Wagner, Maren Lutz, Meghan Jeadicke and Bjorn Beerschwenger, while the awards in team category went to Kanu-Sportgemeinschaft Köln e.V. and Rhein-Kanu-Club Köln 1923 e.V.
