Poland withdraws from the organisation of the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships, ECA intensively seeks a new organiser

With just over six months left until the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships in Kalisz, the Polish Canoe Federation has informed the European Canoe Association that it must withdraw from the organisation of this European Championships, which was set to take place from 9th to 14th September 2025.
The Polish Canoe Federation notified the ECA and the newly appointed Chair of the Canoe Polo Technical Committee Alberto Baroni that despite significant efforts made by the organising team, Poland is unable to host the Championships as originally planned.
Alberto Baroni, Chair of the Canoe Polo Technical Committee, along with members of his team and the European Canoe Association, is fully committed to delivering the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships and is actively assessing alternative venues and technical requirements to ensure the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships takes place. Further information is expected within the next month, when potential new hosts will be thoroughly assessed and confirmed.
All updates will be provided as soon as possible, once the new organisers are officially selected.
The 2025 ECA Canoe Polo Clubs European Championships, which was also entrusted to Polish Canoe Federation, and is scheduled for 27th and 28th September in Kaniow, remains on the competition calendar.
