Ronald Rauhe now focuses on World Championships

Ronald Rauhe now focuses on World Championships 17.4.2020

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were supposed to be the last major sporting event of the experienced 38-year-old German sprinter Ronald Rauhe. Coronavirus pandemic turned everything upside down, so now he has new goals.

“I have to let that sink in and digest it first,” said Rauhe on postponement of Olympic Games and continued, “I still haven’t decided on the issue concerning the 2021 Olympic Games. Discussions with sponsors continue, but there is also a question of professional perspective. At the moment no one can say what will happen with the pandemic.”

One of the most successful German paddlers continues with his trainings to stay in shape, “I want to finish the 2020 season properly. ICF has planned the World Championships for non-Olympic events in Szeged, so now I want to prepare for this the best I can. Until then I will also know whether I will continue my career in 2021.”
