As already known, from 11 - 21 August 2022, Munich will host the European Championships Munich 2022, uniting nine European Championships ‘under one roof’, among them for the first time canoe sprint and paracanoe.
However, this will not be only a sporting event, but will also feature the bi-annual European Athletics Young Leaders Forum and for the first time it will be open to other sport federations and sportspersons too.
ECA is proud to announce that seven participants from canoeing have been chosen and confirmed by the organisers to take part and enjoy this unique opportunity to meet and share experiences with young colleagues from other sports. Noemi Horvath and Balint Sakacs from Hungarian Canoe Federation, Eilidh Gibson from British Canoeing, Andre Coelho from Portuguese Canoe Federation, Sarlota Cako from Serbian Canoe Federation and Philip Schuemman from German Canoe Federation are those who have been selected as participants, while Marian Sarbu representing Belgium will take part in the forum as official.
The Young Leaders Forum provides a unique experience for up-and-coming sports officials, highly motivated young adults from 20 to 30 years old, who are involved in sports and looking to evolve it further.
The Forum will take place from the 19th until the 22nd of August 2022 in Munich, Germany, with the Local Organising Committee of the European Championships Munich 2022 as the host of this event.
