The Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) together with Paddle Games organised the 1st Ciutat de Palma Canoeing Trophy, which was held on October 12^th in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, next to the famous Mallorca’s Cathedral. Here, numerous canoe sprint champions took part in.

In the inaugural edition 32 athletes from nine countries took part in, and the list of participants was impressive, including multiple Olympic, World and European Champions, such as Saúl Craviotto, Carlos Arévalo, Rodrigo Germade, Marcus Cooper, Fernando Pimenta, Tom Liebscher, Jacob Schopf, Anna Pulawska, Paulina Paszek, Teresa Portela and many more.

Athletes were divided into different teams, and they competed in sprint course, where they had to turn around buoy. The website states that Elite Paddle Games format is a team competition raced individually, combining the best of both worlds: 1) an inclusive, egalitarian team effort and 2) recognition of top individual performers. Racing as a team fosters collaboration, unity, and support. It combines diverse strengths, allowing members to push each other towards better performances. Each paddler contributes to their team earning points creating a strong sense of camaraderie and collective achievement, while also promoting trust and mutual accountability.
