Following the cancellation of the 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships which was originally supposed to be organised in Duisburg, Germany, the search of the new organiser who would be able to organise the event and at the same time fulfil all the requirements of the organisation of the senior Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships in the last minute begun.

 

 

There were a couple of candidates to jump in after the City of Duisburg did not give the authorisation to organise the previsioned competition and the ECA's Board of Directors relocated the 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European championships to Poznan with hopes the pandemic will not cause any additional problems to the organisation.  

 

 

Poznan will also host the 2021 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships from 24 to 27 June.
