Thomas Konietzko re-elected as President of the German Canoe Federation (DKV) 3.5.2017

03/05/2017 - Former European Canoe Association’s Board of Directors member Thomas Konietzko has been re-elected as the president of the German Canoe Federation at the congress of the DKV which was held last weekend in Essen. The 53-year-old Konietzko who is also a vice-president of the International Canoe Federation (since last November) will lead one of the most successful European Canoe federations for the next four years.


“Our success is a result of our good teamwork. The teamwork in the last years was excellent, so I am very happy and excited for the next stage together within the federation,” said Konietzko after the elections.
 
Besides Thomas Konietzko the new leadership of the German Canoe Federation includes Jens Perlwitz, Tim Neupert, Elisabeth Winter-Brand, Peter Ludwig and Michael Schroeder.
