VIDEO – Ukrainian Canoe Sprint National Championships

Ukrainian Canoe Sprint National Championships was held the first weekend in August in Dnipro, Ukraine. It was held in memory of late Vyacheslav Sorokin.

All together 39 events were held and 46 athletes became national champions. Ivan Semikin (MK1), Taras Mishchuk (MC1), Maria Kichasova – Skoryk (WK1) and Lyudmila Luzan (WC1) became national champions in the 200 metres events.

Luzan (WC1) added another title in the 500 metres distance, where Oleh Kukharyk (MK1), Yuriy Vandyuk (MC1) and Maria Povh (MK1) also won gold medals.

In the 1000 metres finals Oleh Kukharyk (MK1), Yuriy Vandyuk (MC1), Viktoria Muntian (WK1) and Lyudmila Babak (WC1) celebrated national champion titles, while the titles in the 5000 metres events went to the hands of Alexander Zarubin (MK1), Denis Davidov (MC1), AnastasiaMalinovskaya (WK1) and Lyudmila Babak (WC1).
