Italian paracanoeist and Paralympian Veronica Yoko Plebani became a spokesperson of the Water Circle project, a project which was born as a simple idea on paper, but now with a help of supporters becomes a reality. With her help and driving force the canoe club Palazzolo Sull’Oglio will be fully remodelled and will break down the architectural barriers and also realize the activities to bring canoeing closer to the young people. It is expected that the club will now offer a ramp for the wheelchair access to the river.

Veronica expressed the desire to give back to the community so she, with the help of her father, started a fundraising campaign for the renovation of her canoeing club which will also be of significant importance nationally. What has started as a private initiative has grown since, with the help of the sponsors and private funds they have already raised about 100.000 Euros and the other 100.000 Euros have come from the trust of the Brescian Community Foundation and the Cariplo Foundation.
