Representatives of 36 European nations will fight for the European Champion titles in canoe sprint part of the European Championships, including many athletes that will later this summer take part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Among the highlights of the championships will undoubtedly be men's and women's K4 events, headed by the strongest Hungarian crews with Nadas, Csizmadia, Kuli and Totka in men's competition and Pupp, Csipes, Fojt and Gazso in women's competition. The local favourites will fight for the gold medal, but the task will not be an easy one, as crews from Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries have similar goals this week.
Men's part of the competition includes Balint Kopasz, Fernando Pimenta, Martin Fuksa, Artuur Peters, Catalin Chirila, Adam Varga, Maxime Beaumont, Zaza Nadiradze, Mads Pedersen, Thirbjorn Rask, Jon Vold, Pablo Grana, Henrikas Zustautas, Wiktor Glazunow, Roberts Akmens, Carlos Garrote and Inigo Pena, Manfredi Rizza, Andrea di Liberto to name just some of the participating paddlers.
In women's competition, we can find Emma Jorgensen, Tamara Csipes, Milica Novaković, Hermien Peters, Maria Corbera, Antia Jacome, Dorota Borowska, Špela Ponomarenko Janić, Anna Lucz, Katarzyna Kolodziejczyk, Justyna Iskrzycka, Alida Gazso, Daniela Cociu, Maria Olarasu and many more on the start list.
Paracanoeing European Championships will welcome athletes from 17 countries. There are many medallists from Paralympic Games and past European and World Paracanoeing Championships on the start line.
