The Labe Arena in Račice is set to welcome Europe’s top athletes in canoe sprint and paracanoeing. From 19 to 22 June, competitors from across the continent will gather in Račice at the ECA European Championships for the third time in history.

The upcoming weekend marks the 20th anniversary of the Võhandu Marathon, with more than 3200 paddlers registered in 1415 boats, representing 30 different countries.

This weekend, a strong international competition - the ICF Canoe Slalom World Ranking race - took place in Markkleeberg, Germany. The event also counted towards the 2025 ECA Open Canoe Slalom European Cup series. Victories were claimed by athletes from Germany, Czechia, and Poland.

ECA’s representatives visited Romania this weekend in a technical visit before the 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships which is set to take place from 3^rd to 6^th July in Bascov-Budeasa. The delegation inspected the venue and held meetings to finalise the organisational details.
