On the last day of the 2024 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Krakow Slovenian team won four medals, three of them siblings Ziga Lin and Eva Alina Hocevar. Two gold medals went to France and one to Czechia, Spain and Germany respectively.

Poland, host nation of the 2024 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships, has a new hero. Young kayaker Hanna Danek won in women's junior kayak final and was crowned European Champion at her home course in Krakow. French team won two gold medals and Great Britain one on Saturday.

The season 2024 brought a novelty at Canoe Slalom European Championships and a new medal event in kayak cross. What used to be known as time trials is now kayak cross individual race and athletes are not only fighting for their place among the top 16 and advancement to the elimination phase, but also for the medals. The first Junior and U23 individual kayak cross European Champions in history are Leo Vuitton, Martin Cornu, Lois Leaver and Klara Mrazkova.

Four different nations celebrated team gold medals on Friday when canoe team events were on the programme of the 2024 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Krakow, Poland. Slovenia and Italy celebrated European Champion titles in U23 men's and women's canoe team events respectively, while junior gold medals went to France in men's canoe event, and to Czechia in women's junior team event.

Morning part of Friday's competition programme at the 2024 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Krakow, Poland, brought the men's and women's canoe heats in junior and U23 age groups. Athletes from France, Slovenia and Czechia set the fastest times in their respective events.
