European Canoeing mourns the passing of Halina Pikula at the age of 71. A passionate sports enthusiast, Pikula served for many years as an ECA Board member. She was also the Secretary General of the Polish Canoe Federation from 1983 to 2009.

The new Vice-President is Moira Aston, and the newly elected members of the Board of Directors are Greg Smale, Stien Verlinden, Vitor Felix, Peter Karai, and Christian Jacobsen.

The 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships will be organised in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, from 2nd to 8th June 2025. The Championships, held in northern Portugal, will not be only dedicated to senior, U23, and junior paddlers, but will also include master competitions and paracanoe demonstration races. The provisional timetable is available on the ECA website.
