The 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Pitesti, Romania, has entered into the decisive phase. Saturday featured the first finals, where young athletes competed for European titles. Ten championships events were held, with gold medals going to Hungary, Germany, Czechia, Denmark, Poland, and – to the delight of the home crowd – Romania.

The second day of competition at the 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships took place in Pitesti, Romania. A busy day of racing featured semifinals over 1000 and 500 metres and heats over 200 metres.

The 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships has kicked off with the heats races in Pitesti – Bascov, Romania. On the opening day, the spotlight was on some of the strongest canoe sprint nations, such as Hungary, Czechia, Ukraine, Poland, and others.

This year’s 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships will take place between Thursday and Sunday in Romania, more precisely at the canoeing venue in Pitesti – Bascov. Athletes from 33 European countries will be competing over four competition days. The Opening Ceremony was held on Wednesday.
