The New Year is here and the The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) wishes to remind stakeholders that the 2025 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods and the 2025 Monitoring Program entered into force on 1 January 2025. The 2025 List was approved by WADA’s Executive Committee (ExCo) during its meeting on 12 September 2024.

Austrian canoe slalom paddler Corinna Kuhnle has announced her retirement from competitive sport at the age of 37.

European competitors have once again demonstrated that Europe remains the powerhouse of canoeing, with standout performances across the globe at the biggest international events. With numerous podium finishes, our athletes not only upheld the continent's proud legacy but also set new standards for excellence. This Year in Review highlights those achievements and celebrates the collective effort that continues to position Europe as the leading force in the world of canoeing.

Canoe slalom Podium Technical Coach Craig Morris is leaving Paddle UK after 20 years of coaching. During this time, his protégés have achieved tremendous success at all major international competitions and Championships, including the Olympic Games.

Ronald Rauhe is not one of the World’s best canoe sprinters of all times, he is also one of Germany's most decorated athletes. Rauhe’s illustrious career spanned nearly three decades, during which he won multiple Olympic medals, became a sixteen-time world champion, and cemented his legacy as one of the most successful German athletes of his generation. Yet, despite his vast success, it is Rauhe’s perspective on defeat, failure, and personal growth that stands out in his book, which came to light past September.
