Competitions

The season 2025 will again bring the ECA Dragon Boat Nations and Clubs European Championships. The competition will be held in Italy, more precisely in Spresiano – Treviso, between 4^th and 7^th June 2025.

The new president of the Lithuanian Canoe Federation (LBKIF) has been elected. The position is now held by Aurimas Lankas, the bronze medallist of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Edvinas Ramanauskas, a long-time partner of Aurimas Lankas in the K2, has been elected as the Secretary General.

Slovak Canoeing mourns the death of Ing. Jan Stachera, former athlete, coach and official, who passed away at the age of 82. He was also the chairman of the Kayak Club Zvolen.

The ECA Board of Directors held an online meeting and appointed new Chairs of the respective Technical Committees. The newly appointed Chairs will select the members of their respective Committees.

The 2024 ICF SUP World Championships was held in Sarasota, Florida, United States of America, and European representatives showed power in sprint, technical race, long distance race and in inflatable race. Andrei Kraitor (BUL) picked up two gold medals.
